THE CULTIVATION PROCESS.
We cultivate the shiitake on substrate we have grown ourselves and which has been inoculated with the shiitake mycelium (also referred to as spawn). It takes about 6 months before the mycelium (the root system of the shiitake) has grown into the beech wood substrate (sterilised in advance). After that, approximately 2 to 3 yields can be realized.

TRADITIONAL ORGANIC CULTIVATION.
In the wild, shiitakes grow on the ground in woods, where they live of the nutriments of dead oak.
In our biological organic farm, the shiitakes are grown in the same atmosphere as in the woods. In our conditioned areas we produce a quality product with the utmost care and patience.
